Pastor Ken Jumper

Pastor Ken Jumper first accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the tender age of eleven, and committed his life to full-time Christian service at the age of twenty. Since that time, he has been actively pursuing the various aspects of God's call on his life. This road has given him the opportunity to be involved in Christian education, serve on several pastoral staff teams and be involved in international mission work. His mission travel includes such places as India, the former Soviet Union, Samoa, Haiti, Peru as well as throughout the Caribbean and Europe.

Pastor Ken Jumper and his late wife, Connie, pioneered The Harvest in August 1989. They were sent out by their home church, The Community Church of Northern Virginia. Pastor Ken still serves in this role today as Lead Pastor.

A graduate of Leadership Lexington County, he is involved with the Lexington Business Association.

Pastor Ken was born in Cayce, South Carolina, located just across the Saluda River from Columbia, South Carolina. He grew up attending the First Baptist Church of Cayce, and later graduated from Airport High School, where he lettered in several varsity sports.

After high school, Pastor Ken moved to the South Carolina's Upstate, where he attended Anderson College in Anderson. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from Erskine College and a Master of Arts in Education Administration from Furman University.

Pastor Ken married Sally Abele in September 2014, and has two married daughters who are active in their respective churches, and three grandchildren--one boy and two girls. To remain active, Pastor Ken enjoys walking and golfing.
