At The Harvest, We Believe
1. In one eternal and living God who reveals himself in three
persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The triune God possess
distinct and personal attributes but is without division in nature,
essence or being (Matt. 3:16-17; John 1:1-5; Psalm 90:1-2)
2. The Holy Bible to be the inspired Word of God, without error in
the original writings, the complete revelation of God's will for
the salvation of men, and the final authority for Christian faith
and life. (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
3. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. Having been conceived
of the Holy Spirit and born of Virgin Mary, Jesus lived a sinless
life, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, rose bodily from
the dead, ascended into Heaven and is now our High Priest and
Advocate. (Luke 1:34-35; John 1:1-14; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews
7:24-26)
4.Man was created in the image of God and for the glory of God but
fell into sin and is therefore lost and powerless to save ourselves
(Genesis 1:26; Romans 1:20-21, 3:23, 6:23)
5. The onlyhope for man is to believe and trust in Jesus Christ
for salvation. Salvation is by grace alone though faith and is
expressed through holy living and righteous works (Romans 10:9-13;
Ephesians 2:1-10)
6. The Holy Spirit indwells all believers and through the Holy
Spirit believers are empowered to live the victorious Christian
life, exhibit Christ-like character and to serve the needs of
others and the Church (Acts 1:8, 10:44-48; Galatians 5:22-23; 1
Corinthians 12 and 14)
7. The Church is the body of Christ both universally and
locally, and is composed of individuals who through faith in Jesus
Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ is
the Head and Lord of the Church. (Romans 12:3-8; Colossians 1:18;
Ephesians 2:19-22)
8. The mission of the Church is to worship God, proclaim his
word, witness to the lost, serve, nurture and care for its members.
The responsibility of the Church is to recognize, equip, train and
commission believers to use their ministry gifts for the
edification of the body of Christ (Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians
4:11-13; 1 Corinthians 12:12-30).
9. Eternal life with Jesus Christ is the reward of all who
believe and receive Him as their Lord and Savior. Eternal
punishment will be placed on all who do not acknowledge Jesus
Christ as their sin offering (Matthew 25:46; John 3:16, 36;
Revelation 20:11-15).
10. Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to
Earth, the dead will be raised, the kingdom of God will be
consummated and all things spoken by the prophets since the world
began will be restored (Matthew 24:42-44; Acts 1:11, 3:19-21;
Revelation 11:15).

authoritative word on Bible doctrine or Christian theology.
However, they do reflect the basic tenets of historical,
evangelical Christianity.)
