According to the 2010 Census there are 99.6 million unmarried people, 18 and older in the U.S.; that's almost 44% of all Americans. There are 55.1 million Households in the U.S. that are maintained by unmarried men and women; that's 45% of all households nationwide. 31.4 million live alone, that's 27% of all households, up from 17% in 1970. Do these numbers surprise you? They shocked us the first time we saw them.

Every year America is getting closer and closer to half of its population being single, and that's staggering. As a single adult do you feel alone? Well guess what, you're not, you have 99.5999999 million friends that are in the same boat as you; that's a pretty big boat, but guess what? God cares for each and every one of you. He wants' your burdens (Ps. 68:19), He wants to heal your hurts (Isaiah 57:18), and restore peace to your soul (Ps. 23). How does He do this? Through the greatest single adult who ever lived - Jesus Christ. He changed lives when He walked the earth 2000 years ago and He is still changing lives today. Jesus said in Matthew 11:28-30, "Come to me all you who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." What a great promise, not of an easy life, but that Christ will always be there to guide you on your journey. You are not alone. So why not start your journey here with us at the Harvest? Join us as we study God's word, and strive to become Wholly, Devoted, Passionate Followers of Jesus Christ (WDPF).

The mission of the Single Adult Ministry at the Harvest is for singles to have a place to connect in the church and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. The class studies will deal with life issues and discussions will be based on a Biblical single adult perspective.
