Dear church family,
We are looking forward to being onsite together on May 31! As we come back to church, we want to assure you that we have been planning and preparing the best way to re-open safely. We have decided to open back up in phases.
Phase One will include the opening of an onsite Sunday, May 31 at 10:30 am service at our Lexington and La Cosecha Campuses. (Northeast Campus will not open for onsite services at this time.) There will be no Sunday 9:00 am service nor Saturday Night Church, and Wednesday Night Church will continue to be only a live stream service.
During Phase One, there will be no nursery, children, or youth services. Children and families are welcome to attend service together (we will provide worship bag activities for school-aged children). There will also be no onsite connect groups or ministry events.
Here are the safety guidelines we will be implementing during Phase One. Please read over them so we can all be ready when the church doors open again.
Greeting: Our First Impression team is here to welcome and serve you; however, our volunteers will refrain from our usual handshakes and hugs and instead greet one another with a friendly wave. We will also implement this courtesy within our congregation during worship services.
Café: Our café will be open but will not be self-serve. Our volunteers will pour and serve all coffee, as well as hand out cream, sugar, and stirrers.
Sanctuary: The seats in the sanctuary will be set up and spaced out to provide for social distancing. Our Ushers will be seat you depending on the number with you or in your family. Once you arrive, please see an Usher to be seated. At the end of service, we will dismiss by section to allow for proper distancing while exiting the building.
Offering: Our time of giving will take place at the end of service. If you choose to give in person, giving buckets will be at the doors as you exit the sanctuary. Digital giving options are still available. You can give online at the-harvest.org/give, or you can give by texting any amount to 803.232.7237.
Communion: For all upcoming onsite services with communion, we will use individually pre-packaged sacraments that will be placed at each seat prior to service.
Your health and well-being are a high priority for us. We realize that as we come together, some are very excited while others are a little hesitant. Let us continue to love each other well by continuing to implement social distancing and respect one another by honoring the 6-foot rule (unless someone invites you into their personal space). If you want to spend time with your friends before or after service, please use the courtyard or outdoor areas.
Please also note, as you return, there will be some volunteer teams and church family with masks and some without. Please use your own discretion when returning as to whether you will wear a mask. Of course, please help us by washing your hands, and if you a feeling ill, running a fever, or coughing, please stay home and join us online.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
